I thought this was such a cute photo of Pumpkin which he is called at the present time till he goes to his forever home .

And this is the ducks that have been hanging around at the end of the motel, well they moved to the side yard, so had to throw them some more bread, i just love it when wildlife comes to visit me in the middle of town.

And Misty asked to see the bull's eye on Tom Tom he has the same marking on the other side. This is also the outside cat house that Nevada has been building, last weekend we found a sliding glass door for the bedroom and cut out the wall to put it in so the cats can go outside and enjoy the sunshine whenever it gets here.

When Tom Tom came into our family he always seemed to be the one that was so lovlable, he walked through the door and said here i am move over, all the cats just took to him never a hiss or a sqauk which is sort of unusual for cats. He has this circle around both sides of his belly that i was told they are called Bulls Eye tabby's maybe one day i can get that circle so i can post a photo here.

Now this was a surprise as i have had the geese coming but never ducks, nice to see them

So last night I was wondering were the kitties were, as i have now decided that they need to be out more and socializing with the other cats,instead of just staying in the bedroom, so when i went to check on them this is what i found on the bed. Tom Tom and 3 of the babies sleeping together, Now you would think that momma cat would be the nurturer, but Tom Tom has really taken on the role of parenthood. He washes them and makes sure that they are all cared for. In fact i found the kittens later on looking for a titty to suck on and lordy lordy they found, and he allowed it, Have you ever heard or seen anything like it?
Well i think this next week we will be taking them in to be fixed, i think they weigh 2lbs about now. And then i can get on with trying to find homes for them. The lady at the CRAFT said she has someone interested in little Haley, and i must say it will be hard to get rid of her as she is about the only one that comes and sits by me or cuddles up to the other cats. She is so sweet and fiesty at the same time.Looks so much like my little Samont.

Just wanted to share some more photos of the baby kittens which are really starting to grow. I do want to give a warning, We bought this Cage that is for small animals and cats, Never thinking much about it till we had the problem the other night. Momma cat got on top of the cage and even tho the wires seem to be small enough, she got her back leg caught in the wires, well let me tell ya, the scream was on and we were trying to help her get her foot out,She got a hold of me and bit my arm,tore my shirt to threads, and managed to bite and scratch me in my breast before hubby could release her, i have to say that between the two of us it took some doing to get her foot out of the bars. We now have secured the top of the cage with a heavy rug that we have bungeed down so it can't move. Thank goodness that we were home at the time. No major injury to her thank goodness, she was limping a bit but seems to be fine now, can't say much for me and the bites however, still very sore.

I must explain that the reason for the cage is because i didn't want the babies running all over the house with the other cats, as i am not sure what some of them might do, i keep the door to the spare room open with the cage blocking it so they have the room to play around in.

Here is Tom Tom laying down with a couple of them, he has become quiet the babysitter for these babies,he plays with them and washes them, he is attentive to there needs, altho i have to keep an eye on him as he has a tendencies to get a bit rough, but has never hurt them. Amazing how he taken to them. The other cats still hiss at the babies and don't seem to want much to do with them.

Now they are getting big enough were they need to find some nice family that wants a kitty, so i got on Craig's list to post them, But there is so much stuff on there about giving kittens away, the horror stories that i never thought about. One person wrote that there are people out there that are taking kittens and feeding them to there snakes. Another was a lady that has a shelter and writes about all the things that go on in a shelter, saying if they are not adopted out within 72 hours most will be put to sleep and goes into detail about that.
So now i am at a stand still becuase i never thought about this sort of thing happening. So what shall i do? I can't keep them. Have any of you any good suggestions?

Crock Cat anyone?
Tom Tom has decided that the crock pot is a great place to take his naps in.

Here is Oliver too relaxed and all stretched out.. he is my other big cat, he weighs in about 30lbs.
We have a security camera and this is the tv monitor that shows the outside, Remember the stray cat that has been coming around? Well anyway i finally got her to let me pet her and she does or did have babies, to date i have not been able to find them, but also she is in heet again, thought she was acting pretty weird, but anyways i feed her and hope to catch her soon as i did see another cat our here which i am sure is planning or has become a daddy by now. Well Anyway Tom Tom has discovered the monitor and her running around out there, so here is a shot of him looking at the monitor and trying to touch the cat which you can't see.

Well i have to share a couple more photos of Tom Tom, he really has taken to my son who actually caught him in the cage, so every time he comes in he runs up to my son and gives him lots of love and licks, he loves the whiskers too. I think he says to him THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! For catching me and giving me such a great house to live in, I never go hungry, your mommy lets me eat all i want and lets me help myself to all the 7 different bags of cat food that is on the floor, i just love to help myself and sleep on the bags so that i know i can eat whenever i want. And here i am watching the bread machine make bread as i love to eat bread too and its so yummy. Gosh i got really lucky in this household.

Well i couldn't help taking and showing this photo of Casey and Tom Tom I hope your all not getting bored with photo shots of Tom Tom as he grows, well they tell me he's growing but to me he sure don't seem to be getting any bigger, but boy he loves to eat though, he is going to be another Tittertat if i don't watch him. Anyway they are enjoying the window sill on a cold day Nevada built that ledge wider so they can all lay up there and enjoy the sunshine several yrs ago, all padded too, makes a good scratching post as well. LOL And if you look behind them, there are pictures of some of Nevada's Pen & Ink art he did many many yrs ago.


So today we went for a drive to look at a camper that this lady was giving away and ran into these beauties. I have never seen so many babies in one place and i didn't get the photos of the smallest ones, as i didn't want to scare the momma's, the next field over was a whole bunch of what looked like maybe day old babies... Poor things were born on a really cold day as it was freezing out there. They all had bells on, Now i really thought they were Llamas at first but i don't think they are, and i can't think of what they are actually called, Anyone know? This ranch was huge and they must of had about 2 or 3 hundred of these cute woolly things. Isn't this one precious looks like she is smileying at me. LOL

I took these at the Abbey Museum when we went to Mt Angel Oktoberfest. I am not very fond of people stuffing animals, and i sort of wonder why such a display would be located in a Abbey. I do have to say the man that did these did great work. Click photo for better viewing

I have more food and love then any cat could ask for. Oh yeh i did hear someone say that i have to go to the Dr and get fixed what ever that means?
